A little about me, my journey, and how Orphia came to life.

Hi, I’m Shayla, the founder and creative heart behind Orphia!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a love for art and creativity. During college, drawing was one of my favorite ways to express myself. It was something I could get lost in for hours, until life began to take me in a different direction.

Between finishing my degree and eventually stepping into the corporate world, my sketchbooks were slowly tucked away. What I thought would be a temporary pause turned into years, and somewhere along the way, I felt as though I’d lost touch with that creative part of myself.

Then came one of the most meaningful chapters of my life: planning my wedding.

What started as planning a celebration quickly became something so much more. From dreaming up designs to bringing the smallest details to life, I found myself falling in love with the creative process all over again. For the first time in years, I felt reconnected with a part of myself I had deeply missed.

And when the planning came to an end, I realized I wasn’t ready to let that feeling go.

After countless conversations with my husband and a little leap of faith, I decided to turn that rediscovered passion into something I could share with others.

And so, Orphia was born.

The Meaning Behind Orphia

Inspired by my love for Greek mythology, the name Orphia draws inspiration from Orpheus, a legendary figure whose music and artistry were said to move even the hardest of hearts.

I wanted a name that felt timeless, feminine, and meaningful. Something that captured the beauty of artistic expression and the emotions that make life’s most cherished moments unforgettable.

To me, Orphia represents more than creativity. It represents rediscovery, passion, and the courage to follow something that makes you feel alive.

Today, Orphia is my way of sharing that passion with you.

Every invitation, every carefully chosen detail, and every finishing touch is an opportunity to turn someone’s vision into something tangible and meaningful.

I know firsthand how special it feels to see the little details you’ve dreamed of come to life. My hope is to bring that same feeling of excitement, joy, and wonder to your celebration.
